Latex development

To see whether the tissue paper is still necessary I have created samples of latex and ink combined. The issue I faced was that the ink bled out into the latex even when partially dry. Because I want clear mark making and line I have decided to keep the tissue paper.

To see if the latex and tissue paper technique would work in my final piece I created an A3 size experiment that has been very successful.

This piece was supposed to be a flat image but then became stuck together. I like this mistake because it shows an interesting new quality to the latex.

Latex experiment

This experiment was successful because it combines a skin-like distorted material with distorted form. I feel like this really expresses my theme in a less obvious and more interesting.
