Colour experiment in watercolour and pen

I found this experiment to be successful but not for my theme. The colours are calming which makes them the antithesis of what I want to use.

Colour experiment in pen and ink

The aspect of this experiment I find most successful is the erratic splashes of colour.

Egon Schiele response using primary imagery

Firstly I only responded in line alone. I find this piece successful because of the protective posture combined with distorted line.

Images from my imagination

These images have inspired me to respond to Egon Schiele because of their distorted line.

Images of fear from my imagination

This is another image of fear showing vulnerability through human form.

Images of fear from my imagination

I see this image as showing vulnerability from the posture and positioning of the man. I think this work will push me to look at human form and how that can represent fear.

Marta Lech response in oil pastels

Marta Lech response in oil pastels

I chose to experiment with oil pastels to recreate the harsh line that I previously used in a primary response.

Marta Lech's work has inspired me to look at abstraction and what effect that has on the ambiance of my work.

Experimental response to the work of Harry Ally

These experiments pushed me to find new ways of creating backgrounds.

Primary response in glue and ink

Primary response in ink

I experimented with ink to explore a 'stressed' feeling through my aggressive use of line.

Primary response in acrylic

This response allowed me to explore the effects of chiaroscuro.
